Lessons from the Solar Eclipse

Monday was the Solar Eclipse. As it happened, I took some time to meditate and contemplate about the eclipse and what we can all learn from it.

My learnings

Like the eclipse that temporarily darkens the world, we too will experience dark times in life.

Like the eclipse that happens every so often – either partial or total, we too will have our difficult moments – some more intense than the others.

Just as the eclipse that is short lived, our sorrows and worries are short lived as well. The sun will shine bright again and we will soon forget that our sorrows ever existed.

Just as we now enjoy and appreciate the phenomenon of the eclipse, we should appreciate life as it comes and accept our challenges with grace. At the end of the day, it matters how we faced the trying times.

It is important to be brave and have belief that this too shall pass and it always does…
