20 Most Beautiful And Instagrammable places in Amalfi Coast

Positano

Sunrise, Positano

Positano is THE MOST popular village in Amalfi Coast and deservedly so. The cliffside homes so delicately stacked on top of each other, the cathedral, the beach of Positano – all make it one of the most photographed places in Amalfi Coast. No wonder it is so popular and bustling with tourists. Here are some of the most instagrammable spots in Positano.

Positano Beach

The church of Santa Maria Assunta

It is hard to miss this beautiful church as you walk up and down the stairs in Positano. But many people just see it from the outside. It is not only beautiful outside but inside as well. Be sure to pay a visit!

Le Sirenuse & Franco’s Bar

For the most perfect views of Positano and beautiful sunset over the cliffside homes, visit Le Sirenuse or stop by for a drink at Franco’s Bar at Le Sirenuse.

Da Adolfo Restaurant

A boat ride to get there, a private beach with turquoise water and scrumptious seafood dishes make Da Adolfo a perfect spot in Positano. Check it out for beautiful photos of the private beach and some great food photos as well.

Salvatore’s Fruit Stand

Salvatore’s fruit stand is at a vista point just north of Positano. It is a must stop for fresh juice and also some great pictures. The owner Salvatore is kind and lets people take pictures of his fruit stand. Don’t forget to tip him. 🙂

This is another restaurant with breathtaking sunset views of Positano and the coast. Be sure to reserve a table during sunset.

Town of Amalfi

Amalfi is a beautiful town that is often overlooked for Positano or Capri. In my opinion, there are many beautiful spots in Amalfi that it make it a worthwhile stop for your photo opp.

Piazza del Duomo and Amalfi Cathedral

Amalfi town cathedral steps

Amalfi Cathedral

The Cathedral of Amalfi in the Piazza del Duomo is the crown jewel of Amalfi. The cathedral’s stairs, its bell tower and the interiors are an artwork and are a perfect backdrop for the ‘gram!

Marina Coppola

Amalfi Marina

Right across from the Piazza del Duomo is Marina Coppola. It is one of the most beautiful marinas with blue green water. The marina overlooking the hills is a perfect location for photos.

Ravello

Charming Ravello terraces, Italy

Ravello is a town north of Amalfi Coast located high above the sea with terraced hills, gorgeous gardens and villas. The neatly sculpted gardens overlooking the sea are something you probably won’t find anywhere else! Ravello is a gem in Amalfi Coast and that’s saying something!

Villa Cimbrone

Villa Cimbrone Terrace of Infinity

Villa Cimbrone is the crown jewel of Ravello. The accompanying Terrazzo dell’lnfinito (Terrace of Infinity) garden is undoubtedly the most beautiful spot in Ravello. The garden is filled with sculptures with sea view and is one of the most Instagrammable places in Amalfi Coast. Did you know a scene in Wonder Woman, the movie was filmed at Villa Cimbrone? Next time you watch the movie, pay attention! 🙂

Villa Rufolo

There is no shortage of villas in Ravello. Villa Rufolo is yet another villa with terraced infinity gardens that makes you wonder if it is indeed real. The restaurant at Villa Rufolo is also an amazing place to dine and take photos.

Capri

Capri is an island off the coast and a 45-60min boat ride from Amalfi Coast. It is one of the prettiest places on earth and a must visit for anyone. Every home in Capri is adorned with bougainvilleas and florals and every street is worthy of a photo. If heaven exists, I believe it sure would look like Capri. Some of my favorite spots in Capri are below.

Grotto Azul (Blue Grotto)

Blue grotto, Capri

If you want to photograph the most beautiful aqua colored water, take a tour of Blue Grotto. It takes a bit of planning but so worth it.

Anacapri (meaning above Capri) is a commune within the island of Capri but high above the sea. Its high elevation means more breathtaking views of Capri. Be sure to check out Montesolaro, a mountain in Anacapri for even better pictures.

Da Paolino Restaurant

I mean, how romantic and pretty is this! Dining under lemon groves with ocean views is an other worldly experience and a great photo opportunity!

Hotel Caesar Augustus

As you can tell, this hotel is one of my favorite places to enjoy views of Capri and snap some photos. Hotel Caesar Augustus and the accompanying restaurant are full of breathtaking views and amazing food!

Conca dei Marini and Praiano

Conca dei Marini and Praiano are popular among locals but not many tourists stop by. These two communes are located between Positano and Amalfi and I recommend making a quick stop at one of the spots below.

Marina di Praia

This is a small marina between Conca Dei Marini and Praiano and is a perfect place to get photos of turquoise waters of Amalfi Coast.

Emerald Grotto

The emerald grotto in Conca dei Marini is often ignored for the blue grotto of Capri. While the blue grotto is definitely unique in its own way, emerald grotto is also worth a visit. Let’s be honest, where else can one find emerald green water?

Piccadilly Ceramics

Ceramics in Positano

Have you ever seen photos of Instagrammers posing with beautiful ceramics in the background? Yes, those photos are from the Amalfi Coast as well. Amalfi Coast is famous for colorful ceramics and the ceramics act as a perfect prop for Instagram photos! Piccadilly Ceramics in Conca dei Marini has a variety of colorful ceramics in the world for you to snap photos.

The fishing village of Furore is a must visit in Amalfi Coast for the most beautiful Insta photos of the Fjord. Look at these photos and decide for yourself!

Path Of The Gods Hike

If you are not in a rush and want to take hundreds of pictures of the coast, hike the path of the gods trail. It is a breathtaking hike that takes you along so several communes with so many amazing views of the coast. We missed it and I regret it to this day!
